Funeral services for Sue Boggs Berry, 72, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lufkin with Bro. Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow at W.M Berry Cemetery in Lufkin.
Mrs. Berry was born on October 10, 1950, in Turkey, Texas, to the late Charlie Boggs and Nellie (Denton) Keeler, and died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Lufkin.
Mrs. Berry enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in her garden and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Berry loved her church and her church family. She retired after 35 years as postmaster for the Zavalla Post Office.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Sam Berry of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Tracy Berry of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Shelli and Jamie Getro of Lufkin; grandson, Nathane Goff of Brazoria, TX; granddaughter and husband, Samantha and Victor Ortega of Oklahoma; grandson, Taten Berry of Lufkin; granddaughter, Whitney Berry of Buna; granddaughter and husband, Suzanne and Devin Phelps of Kirbyville; granddaughter, Erica Berry of Kirbyville; granddaughter, Raven Getro of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Cody and Kelsi Walters of Kirbyville; numerous great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Robbie Darnawan of semi valley, California; sister, Julie Swain of Freeport, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Dan Terry of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and Sister Glena Davidson.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Hankins, Justin Hankins, BJ Hamilton, John Harlan, Clayton Wallace, and Hershel Shoemaker.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
