Terry was born on July 3, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Huey Amos Jordan and Tommie Lou (Barnhill) Withers, and passed away after a 5 year courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, October 8, 2023, with her family by her side in Lufkin.
Terry was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed working in her yard and garden. Terry especially loved her church family and the fellowship she shared with them. She enjoyed serving Sunday breakfast at her church. Terry was a devoted Christian, a mighty prayer warrior, and wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone in need if she could. Her grandson, Wyatt was the apple of her eye. She enjoyed making memories with him. She loved watching him grow into a wonderful young man and ensuring that he knew the Lord. Her main goal in life was to make sure that everyone she loved and came in contact with, knew and loved the Lord as much as she did. She would say: “I want you to make Heaven.” Terry will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Billy Colston of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Stephen Luce of Garrison; grandson, Wyatt Luce; sister, Vicky Carter of Lufkin; sister , Amy Sanders and husband Ron of Goldonna, LA; along with numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Rhonda Howell and Cheryl Hubbard.
Pallbearers will be Wyatt Luce, Marty Colston, Tyler Colston, Jackie Colston, Ron Sanders, and Tony Sattler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Sanders, Cole Sattler, Hunter Dubois, Kevin Honeycutt, and Jax Colston.
