Tommy Adams

          Funeral services for Tommy Adams 68, of Pollok Texas, will be held Friday , September  8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Mike Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Aldredge Cemetery in Lufkin.

          Mr. Adams was born on June 7, 1955, in Apple Springs , Texas , to the late Robert Ervin Adams and Maudie Magdeline Turner and ,  died Monday, September 4, 2023, in his home.

          Tommy was a member of Foundry Assembly of God. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors.

          He is survived by his wife of 49 years Sharon Adams; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Mark Bailey of Zavalla TX; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Kimberly Adams of Pollok TX; Grandsons, Mason Bailey, Kaleb Adams, Matthew Bailey, Braiden Adams, and Maverick Bailey; sister, Dorothy Knox of Broaddus TX; sister, Betty Dry of Apple Springs TX; sister, Melba Fredregill of Lufkin TX; brother, Randy Adams of Lufkin TX; and numerous of nieces and nephews.

          He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Adams; father, Robert Adams; mother, Maudie Adams; brothers, Ralph Adams, Ronnie Adams, and Jerry Adams; and sister Mary Holmes.

          Pallbearers will be Dwayne Fredregill , Kevin Adams, Steve Carlin, Robbie Adams,  Trevor Adams and Steve Knox.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Bailey, Kaleb Adams, Matt Bailey, Braiden Adams, and Maverick Bailey.  

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Shafer Funeral Home.
