Triena Kitchens Obituary

          Visitation for Triena Lynn Kitchens, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.

          Mrs. Kitchens was born on December 15, 1964, in Lufkin, Texas, to Marvin Ed Malnar and Betty Faye (Porter) Davidson, and died November 23, 2025, at her home.

          Mrs. Kitchens enjoyed television and films, especially westerns, dramas, and horror films such as Misery, Little Shop of Horrors, Ghost, and Gunsmoke. She had a love of sports cars and going out to eat at her favorite restaurants. She was a big fan of music. Her favorite style of music was Classical, and her favorite artist was Adele. She also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling. She was often entertained by searching for deals at garage sales and playing games on her phone, especially Panda Pop.

          She was a strong woman who loved her family, and her children were everything to her. She was always there when her family needed her. She was a friend to everyone she met, and she treated them all like family members.

          Mrs. Kitchens worked at Pinecrest Retirement Community for 16 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was the Assistant Manager at BIGS gas station for 4 years. She was a very hard worker.

          She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Rodney Kitchens; son, Johnathan Douglas Myers of Diboll, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, William Lawrence and Tomoko Myers of Kyoto, Japan; daughter and son-in-law, Mamie Lucille and John Henry Gonzales, Jr. of Lufkin; granddaughter, Jade Marie Gonzales of Lufkin; granddaughter, Jenna Nichole Gonzales of Lufkin; grandson, Jax Michael Gonzales of Lufkin; granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Gonzales of Lufkin; granddaughter, Julianna Rose Gonzales of Lufkin; granddaughter, Miko Lucille Myers of Kyoto, Japan; granddaughter, Manami Luna Myers of Kyoto, Japan; grandson, Trendon Lee Myers of Jasper, Texas; granddaughter, Charlett Jean Myers of Central, Texas; Father, Marvin Ed Malnar of Dallas; Mother, Betty Davidson of Apple Springs, Texas; brother, Frankie and wife Carrie Strickland of Pollok; sister, Indy Jones of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Angie and G.R. Bliss of Tennessee; sister, Malena Kay Grohman of Apple Springs, Texas; brother, Eddie Malnar of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
