Venita "Neta" McGalliard

          A Celebration for Life service for Venita “Neta” McGalliard, 82, of Kennard, will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Gateway Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave., Denton, Texas, 76209.

          Mrs. McGalliard was born April 4, 1940, in Denton, Texas, to Hugh Lynch, Sr. and Anna Grace (Brown) Lynch, and died Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Lufkin.

          Mrs. McGalliard  enjoyed traveling with her husband and building movie theaters, but she lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

          She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jana & Randall Brockett of Denton; daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Donnie Collinsworth of Kennard; granddaughter, Kasie Ostrom of Aubrey; grandson, Jeremy Collinsworth of Dallas; grandson and wife, Brian and Karen Brockett of Roslyn Heights, N.Y.; granddaughter, Ashley Ross of Crockett; grandson, Jake Parker of Denton; granddaughter and husband, Paige and Bryan Stringer of Denton; grandson and wife, Cody and Nikki Collinsworth of Kennard; great-grandchildren, Cade, Rylea, Jorden, Kylie, Lexi, Zoe, Sloan, Westen, Waylon, Maylie, and Kamden; and numerous nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.

          She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie McGalliard; great-grandson, Cason Collinsworth; sisters, Helen Reed, Waldine Inmon, Jennie Lou Sauls; and brothers, Hugh Lynch, Jr., John Lynch and Bob Lynch.

          Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Collinsworth, Brian Brockett, Bryan Stringer, Jake Parker, Cody Collinsworth, Cade Collinsworth, Cason Collinsworth, Jordan Stringer, Westen Stringer and Waylon Collinsworth.

          Special memorials may be made to The American Heart Association.
