Walter O. Castillo

          A Memorial Visitation for Walter O. Castillo, 33, of Burke, will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin.

          Walter was born on March 5, 1992, in Lufkin, Texas, and died Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Odessa, Texas.

          Walter was of the Catholic faith. He worked as a truck driver. Walter loved fishing and going out to eat. He had a kind spirit, large heart, and was very forgiving. Walter went out doing what he loved to do. 

          He is survived by his daughters, Serena Faith Castillo and Arianna Bella Castillo; mother, Laura Barron of Burke; brothers, Fernando Barron and Gerardo Castillo, both of Lufkin; sister, Esmeralda Barron of Lufkin; and stepfather, Jose Fernando Barron.
