Graveside services for Wayne Junior Pollock, 80, of Louisiana, will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Lufkin with Bro. Buddy Freeman officiating.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Junior Pollock, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who departed this life on January 5, 2025. Wayne was born on November 21, 1944, to Avie Joyce Jordan and Edward Haskell Pollock in Cleveland, Texas.
He married the love of his life, Anna Laura Squyres on December 12, 1963. They were together 62 years and raised 4 children.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Squyres Pollock, Brother in law, Cecil Dwight Squyres, Lonnie Audean (Mary) Squyres, children, Waynette Pollock Isaacks, Paul (Cheryl) Pollock, Roger (Gayle) McElroy, Diana (Donnie) Laurence. He was a proud grandfather to Erika, Stormie (Caleb), Brittany (Taylor), Lacey, Justin (Inez), Darrin (Jessica), Nicholas, Audra (Paul), Brandon (Bobbie), Jennifer, Alicia, Amanda (Jerrick), Charles (Tessa), Samantha (Austin) and 28 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Pyeatt, Jr, his sister, Patricia Welch, sister in law, Patsy Wayne Squyres and son in law, Jerry Read Isaacks.
Wayne’s greatest joy was his family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired from Brookshire Brothers Warehouse after 25 years of service.
He will be missed by all who knew him, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all the lives he touched.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.
