Graveside services for William “Jeff” Strait, 54, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile, Texas with Reverend Byron Smith officiating.

          Mr. Strait was born on February 16, 1972, in Muskegon, Michigan, to the late William Leroy Strait and the late Sandra (Darke) Strait, and died August 27, 2026, in Huntington, Texas.

          Jeff was a man of faith who loved going to church. He was also talented at customizing houses, automobiles and motorcycles. He could “wheel and deal” with the best of them, but most of all, he dearly loved his children and grandchildren. 

          He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Johnathon and Bria Strait of Huntington; son, Colton Renfro of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Hayley Hamilton of Central; son and daughter-in-law, Cameron and Hayley Duke of Etoile; daughter, Skylar Strait of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Carlie and Justin Welch of Huntington; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Steven Jones of Lufkin.

          He was preceded in death by his parents.

          Pallbearers will be Zach Greenert, Jeff Greenert, Johnathan Strait, Justin Welch, Cameron Duke, Cody Hamilton, Jeff Wise, Danny Myers, Jonathan Hewitt, Juan Montelongo, Thomas McGraw, and Bobby Underwood.

          Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas.
