Wyman Wade Jones

         Funeral services for Wyman Wade Jones, 27, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Brother Robert Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Berry Cemetery.

          Wyman was born on August 9, 1996, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Jimmy Richard Jones and Misty Michelle (Johnson) Adam, and died Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Lufkin.

          Wyman loved fishing, hunting, and anything that had to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed working on small engines, especially go-carts and lawnmowers. Wyman had a big heart and loved his family very much.

           He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jimmy and Kelly Jones of Huntington; mother, Misty Adams of Central; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Samantha Jones of Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Jr. and Jalisa Jones of Diboll; sister and fiancé, Harley Jones and Timothy Melton of Diboll; brother, Joe Jones of Huntington; brother, Eli Poindexter of San Augustine; brother, Billy Poindexter of San Augustine; brother, Ethan Poindexter of San Augustine; grandmother and step grandfather, Charlene and Joe Vining of Lufkin; grandfather and step grandmother, Jimmy Jones and Navada Demny of Huntington; stepfather, James Poindexter of San Augustine; aunt and uncle, Bessie and Scott Pearson of Denver City; aunt and uncle, Samantha Jones and Luther Whitehead of Lufkin; aunt and uncle,  Tina and Jacob Dominy, uncle, Bubba Johnson, aunt, Shyna Marie Allen-Jones of Lufkin; and uncle, Wesley Jones of Lufkin.

          He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Luther Nichols and Clinton Earl Johnson; and grandmother, Paula Johnson.

          Pallbearers will be Max Gabbard, Frankie Self, Tommy Self, Jimmy Jones, Joe Jones, Timothy Melton, and Bubba Johnson.

          Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2024, at Shafer Funeral Home.
