From Ty and Stephanie Shafer:

We are excited to be serving Lufkin and the surrounding East Texas communities. At Shafer Funeral Home, our focus is not limited to the funeral service itself - we assist the family before, during and after the service. We pride ourselves on providing personalized support for each family’s specific needs.

While serving the many families of East Texas, we have developed a deep understanding of their unique needs and requirements.We feel the best way to meet them is through reasonable prices and exceptional service. We want families to understand that funerals do not have to be expensive.

In addition to traditional funeral and cremation services, we offer pre-arranged funerals and accept pre-needs from other funeral homes. We have a full-sized chapel with two staterooms, along with a large family lounge. And to better serve our diverse communities, we also offer bilingual services. Our handpicked staff are not only great at what they do, but also truly care for families as if they were their own.

Ty’s lifelong dream has been to open his own funeral home. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2001 and has been serving East Texas families since 2002.He’s a current member of the Lufkin Lions Club. Stephanie and Ty married in 2011. She graduated from Angelina College as a Registered Nurse and has served Lufkin and the surrounding communities in various health care settings. They both currently serve as youth sponsors at Lufkin’s First Christian Church, where they are members. In their spare time they can be found at garage sales, estate sales and auctions in the East Texas area.
